flowers. every other day!
He had fulfilled all Lucia could require of a perfect husband.
Lucia looked up and saw the sweat on Paul’s forehead. She couldn’t help
chucking and wiped his sweat with a tissue. “Is it hot outside? You are even
sweating…”
Paul held her hand smilingly. “It’s sunny today. You wanna a walk outside?”
Lucia smiled and wanted to accept his invitation when an abrupt ringtone
interrupted her. Paul took out his phone and stared at the screen.
It was a call from abroad. He furrowed his brows and answered the call.
“Hello? What is it?”
Lucia could hear a vague voice from the receiver but she couldn’t hear it clearly.
She could only tell that it was a man calling Paul.
Paul suddenly looked serious. Frowning, he cast a glance at Lucia and then
looked away.
He walked to bedside and said coldly, “Don’t allow him to approach Paula. Keep
a close watch.”
Hearing his words, Lucia had guessed what had happened.
Burton hadn’t been with August for a long time. Judging from the period of time,
he should have been abroad by now. If everything had gone smoothly for him, he
should have met Paula.
Therefore, the “him” mentioned by Paul must be Burton.
Paul was to continue giving instruction when Lucia gently called, “Paul…”

guy.

the same quality.” As Paul said so, he took out his phone. “I gotta make another
phone call. Make sure…”
Having made up her mind, Lucia suddenly grabbed Paul’s hand. She looked up
at Paul sincerely. “Paul, could you let them be?”
Paul frowned and pressed his lips in silence.
“This one time, give Burton a chance. Perhaps he might be of some help to
Paula’s recovery.”
After convincing Paul for a long time, Lucia finally managed to convince him into
relenting. He said deeply, “This one last time. If he couldn’t be of any help, I’ll still
let him leave.”

leave you to work then.”
Lucia felt so relaxed as Paul finally agreed to give Burton a chance.
Paul’s consent was good news to both Paula and Burton.
She couldn’t predict the future, but she believed that everything could take a
favorable turn. Perhaps Paul might accept Burton eventually.
Thinking of which, she wanted to send Burton a message. However, she
suddenly found Elisa’s voice message. “Lucia?
You must have great fun outside and don’t want to come home, do you?”
Elisa sounded apparently displeased.
