Submit To The Boss Lucia And August Novel Chapter 807 – Dangerous Man

Lucia urged softly many times before Edmund’s car slowly stopped in front of Perfect Fortune. She immediately got out of the car, her palms sweaty.
The waiter at the door recognized Lucia at first glance and didn’t stop her because the future heir to the Adams family was inside.

Edmund, however, was stopped at the door. After all, Perfect Fortune was one of the few high-end places in Sonirie and not everyone was allowed to enter.

Edmund was not angry at all and just waited quietly at the door. It would end the same whether they found the children or not so he didn’t care.
Lucia rushed into Sophie and August’s exclusive private room and saw Sophie talking happily to Phillip in her arms.

Timothy and Janet were sitting next to them. They cowered in fear when they saw Lucia bursting in furiously. The temperature in the room suddenly dropped. Finally, Janet gathered her courage and whispered to Phillip, “Look, I told you Mommy would pick us up. I didn’t lie to you.”

Phillip nodded happily. Timothy, Janet!” yelled Lucia angrily as she quickly walked toward them, “how dare you bring Phillip here without my knowledge? What if something happened to you?” Timothy winked at Janet and apologized obediently. Sorry, mommy.

You’re so busy at work so I wanted to do something for you. I was wrong.1′ Lucia’s heart softened when she heard Timothy’s injured voice and saw that the two children were afraid to look at her. She sighed and said softly, “I was worried about you. Phillip is not in a good state…”

Sophie put Phillip down, walked up to Lucia, and rolled her eyes at her. “Timothy and Janet are the smartest kids I’ve ever met. You should be glad they didn’t sell you out instead of worrying about them.’

Lucia was speechless and embarrassed. She admitted that Timothy and Janet
were smart, but they were children in her eyes anyway. It was embarrassing
when Sophie called her stupid and she quickly thought about how to contradict
her.
However, Sophie knew what she was thinking and immediately said, “Come on, I
can read your mind.”

A glint of shrewdness passed across Lucia’s eyes. She teased, “You’re getting
more and more like Joshua. You’re both mean.”
Sophie came closer and tickled her.
After joking for a while, Lucia asked, “Seriously, you seem to have just
communicated well with Phillip. What are the odds he recovers?”
Very high,” Sophie said confidently, “I just tested him briefly. Your measures were
not all wrong. At least he doesn’t avoid communicating with people now.”

Lucia breathed a long sigh of relief. “That’s good. I’ll bring Phillip back another
time. His dad is waiting outside.” She glanced at the two children, restrained her
anger before losing her temper, and muttered, ‘They brought Phillip here without
telling anyone. His dad thought he’d been kidnapped.
Janet pouted and looked up. “Mr. Shea scared you on purpose. He knew Timothy
and I had gone to see Phillip.”
Lucia patted her head. “You can’t say that.”

Sophie immediately realized that something was wrong and had a bad feeling
when she remembered what Timothy had said earlier. “Since his dad is outside,
I’ll walk you out,” she said, picking up Phillip and walking out of the room.
After treatment, Phillip was in good spirits. He still talks very little, but he didn’t
avoid lights and just stayed in Sophie’s arms quietly.

Edmund froze clearly as they walked out of Perfect Fortune one by one, but he
quickly put on an anxious look and took Phillip in his arms. After Lucia quickly
introduced them to each other, he looked at Sophie with a polite and aloof look in
his eyes. “Thank you for taking care of Phillip today,” he said politely.
Sophie’s heart skipped a beat and she subconsciously averted her eyes. She
couldn’t figure out what was wrong with Edmund. He looked and acted normal,
but her instincts told her he was a dangerous man. She tried her best to stay
calm and said softly, Lucia’s friends are my friends. I’ve studied child care. Maybe
I can help you.”

Edmund didn’t say anything as if he didn’t want to continue the conversation.
Sophie sensed it and said goodbye to them before walking back into Perfect
Fortune.
Only after Sophie left did Edmund put on a softer look and said to Lucia, “It’s
getting late. I’ll take you home.”
The car started slowly. The three children sat together in the back seat, and
Lucia chatted with Edmund in the passenger seat.

Lucia, Phillip has returned safely. You don’t have to blame Timothy and Janet.
They did it for Phillip’s own good. They were just a little immature,” Edmund said
slowly.
The topic had nothing to do with their conversation. Lucia found it strange, but
she didn’t think much of it. Mr. Shea, thank you for looking at this from Timothy
and Janet’s point of view, but I’ll definitely lecture them,” she said politely.

The unhappy look on Edmund’s face disappeared at once. He had brought it up
to remind Lucia not to forget that the two children had done wrong, but to his
surprise, she had no intention of blaming them. Soon the car was one turn away
from the Adams villa, and he was going to add fuel to the fire.

However, before he could say anything, Timothy’s voice came from the back
seat. “Mr. Shea, please stop the car at the intersection. Daddy will be unhappy to
see us get out of someone else’s car so late.’
Edmund’s eyes quickly went dim and he said coldly, “So Mr. Adams doesn’t have
a generous mind.”
