Ethan smirked and scoffed, “So what? As long as you’re breathing, August will risk his life to save you.” He then glared at the hitter. “What are you waiting for? Do it!” Rewards Without further ado, the hitter strode up and punched her in the belly.
She grunted in pain and heavily bit her bottom lip. Her body bent, and the hitter hammered her spine with his elbow. She felt like her bones were shattered. Unable to hold up any longer, she staggered and fell to the floor.
The hitter didn’t stop there. His leg weighed her down and confined her to the cold floor. She wanted to struggle but didn’t have the strength. She could only watch the man spread her hand. “No, what are you doing!”
With a quiver in her voice, she looked at Ethan in fear and shouted, “Let me go, psycho!” The interest became more intense in Ethan’s eyes. He
fiddled with a pair of small pincers and snorted with a spurious smile, “Scared? Weren’t you so calm just now?”
She had never been so scared. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she bellowed at the top of her lungs, “Enjoy the last period of your life. August will not let you off the hook, nor will I!” “Now I won’t let you go, idiot.” Ethan was going to continue, but Mark’s face was filled with impatience.
“Just do it. I’m not interested in listening to your nonsense.” Ethan glanced at Mark with dissatisfaction but didn’t lose his temper. Lucia’s
sharp eyes captured Ethan’s annoyance. She saw a rift between them and scoffed, “I thought you made a comeback on your own.
Turns out you’re just a stooge.” The anger on Ethan’s face became more evident, and a flicker of imperceptible hatred flashed across his eyes. His
expression didn’t escape her eyes. She snorted and continued, “You were detained for just a couple of months, but your nerve has been lost.
Now you’re even willing to take orders from others.” “Shut up, bitch! What do you know?” Ethan suddenly got up, growled, and threw
the pincers to the floor, “I’m gonna show you the consequences of offending me.”
The hitter picked it up. Gleaming cold, the silver pincers slowly moved close to her fingertips. She desperately struggled
but failed to break free. A cold sensation came from her fingertip.
She used up her strength to look at Ethan and snarl, “You’re always a defeated
foe of August and a coward who can only
hurt women and children.”
Ethan’s face contorted with rage. He yellowed at the henchman, “Do it! I’ll see

The pincers caught her clean nail. As long as the man exerted a little strength,
her nail would be peeled from her fingertip. She couldn’t stall them anymore. She
had done her best. She closed her eyes in despair and bit her bottom lip

She would never yield to Ethan. He was just trying to satisfy his perverted

started to pull, and she could feel the sticky moisture in her nail and the air that
burrowed in through the gap. The pricking pain shook her, but she refused to
utter a sound.
Bang! A crisp sound reverberated through the room, and the hitter fell backward
without warning. The pincers also fell to the floor. She immediately opened her
eyes and looked over in surprise. In black, August appeared in the doorway. His
chiseled face was frosty. Like the dark lord from hell, he plodded into the room.
Ethan was stunned. His narrowed eyes glinted with murderous intent.
“You came so soon. I haven’t had enough fun yet.” He pointed at the woman on
the ground with his chin. August looked over before the cold light in his eyes
intensified. “Your tactics didn’t let me down anyway.”
Ethan was a little surprised by August’s reaction but smugly arched his brow. “It
looks like this woman is not enough to

his eyes was undisguised. He stared at
Ethan’s smirking face.

me. Have they healed?”
He slowly got up, picked up a baseball bat that was placed on the balcony, and ambled to
Lucia’s side. His shiny leather
shoes then stepped on her back.
“Do you think she could get back on her feet again as you did it 1 break her legs too?” He
laughed out loud.
August’s eagle eyes glanced at his smug face and said coldly, “That depends on your
skills.”
“What?” Before Ethan could react, August dashed to his side in the blink of an eye.
Throttled, he felt that his body was quickly losing oxygen. He hastily swung the bat to hit
August. The latter dodged, and
they were both smashed into the wall. The long detainment had corroded Ethan’s moves
and reaction speed. He was no
match for August although he had a weapon. In the end, he was cornered.
“Idiots, what are you waiting for? Come and get him.” With difficulty, he forced the words
out of his mouth. Leaving the cooks and maids, the hitters swarmed toward August. The
sounds of smashing things then resounded
through the room. August maneuvered fast, dodged their attacks, and punched them in
the critical spots.
He received the
most rigorous training when he was a teenager. Those hitters were naturally no match for
him. Soon, they were knocked
over and immobilized on the floor.
Mark impatiently looked at the worthless hitters. Taking advantage of the chaos, he pulled
Lucia to his side and held her
down. A special knife was taken out and placed on her throat.
He barked, “August, I’d like to see how you’re going to fight me.”
