Submit To The Boss Lucia And August Novel Chapter 805 – Phillip Was Missing
Lucia was puzzled to see the two children eager to go out. Dinner will be ready soon. Where are you going?” Janet glanced at Timothy. Fortunately, Timothy was smart and immediately handed the phone to Lucia.
Mom. you left your phone at home. I just answered a call for you…” Lucia frowned slightly and checked her phone. Her frown deepened when she
saw the name “Edmund Shea”. They hadn’t been in touch for a long time.
She subconsciously thought of Phillip and asked worriedly, “What did Mr. Shea say?” Timothy and Janet looked at each other and hated Edmund even more. Timothy immediately answered, “He just said Phillip was bored at home and asked if you could take us to play with him.”
“Let’s go.” Before Lucia’s hand touched the doorknob, Janet held her thigh and said in a sweet voice, “Mommy, you can stay home and get some rest. Burton will drive us.” “But…” Lucia wanted to say something else, but the children were walking out hand in hand.
She could only shake her head and shout at their backs, Be safe.” After changing into her housecoat, Lucia went to the study to look for the note she hadn’t finished reading. The study was just as she had left it. Obviously, August hadn’t been in since they returned from Sonirie.
The pottery pieces were a stark contrast with the dark floor. Lucia stepped forward, picked up the pieces, and glued them back together in
the chair. She was so focused that she sweat on her nose.
Half an hour later, Burton and August were still working at the office. Timothy and Janet paid the cab driver and walked hand in hand into an upscale
neighborhood. They found Edmund’s house and the door opened as soon as they rang the doorbell.
The smile faded from Edmund’s face when he saw the two children. His face
darkened and he had no intention of letting them into the house.
“Mr. Shea, Mommy sent us to pick up Phillip. She went to the best pediatrician,”
Timothy said, blinking innocently.
Edmund knew the two children were smart, especially the boy, so he was wary of
them. “Wait outside for a while. I’ll change and drop you off,” he said coldly.
Timothy tugged on Janet’s jacket. Janet rolled her eyes silently. She knew
Timothy was up to something, but she raised her voice and asked deliberately,
“Timothy, call Mommy and ask her to pick us up. I don’t want to wait outside. I’m
really tired.”
Edmund froze and turned sideways reluctantly. “No need. Just come in. I’ll be out
in a minute.”
The two children didn’t care about his attitude. They walked into the living room
and saw only a mess. All the breakables were on high, but the living room was
littered with pieces of plastic. It was obvious that those things had been dropped
hard.
Timothy narrowed his eyes coldly. Phillip didn’t have the strength to break the
hard plastic, so it was probably deliberately arranged by Edmund.
Cushions and stuffed animals were everywhere. Phillip was sitting on the cold
floor tearing a broken stuffed bear.
“Phillip, we’re here to see you.” Janet ran quickly to him and stopped him gently.
The fierce look in Phillip’s eyes turned gentle when he heard Janet’s voice.
Timothy and Janet breathed a sigh of relief and sat next to him.
“Phillip, Mommy misses you so much. Do you miss her?” Janet asked.
Phillip immediately nodded.
Janet gave a big smile and took his little hand. “I’ll take you to her. She’s waiting
for us at home”
Phillip thought for a moment, took Timothy’s and Janet’s hands, and stammered,
“Let’s… go!” He rarely spoke. Maybe he just wanted to speak when Lucia was
mentioned.
One of the two children watched outside Edmund’s room and the other took
Phillip out quickly. They dodged the cameras the whole way and took a cab in
front of the neighborhood.
When Edmund came out of the bedroom, the living room was a mess, but the
three children were gone. However, he was not anxious at all and even called
Lucia with a grin.
Lucia had just gotten the pottery back together. She carefully blew on it to dry the
glue and casually picked up her vibrating phone.
As soon as she picked up, Edmund asked in an anxious and angry voice on
purpose, “Lucia, where did you take Phillip?’
“Phillip?” Lucia frowned. “Timothy and Janet said they would pick him up so I
stayed home.”
“Timothy and Janet said…” Edmund immediately told her what had just happened
and asked coldly, “Lucia, what do you want?”
Lucia was worried. She thought about what had happened and came to the
conclusion that Timothy and Janet had lied. “HI find Timothy and Janet as soon
as I can. Sorry for the trouble,” she apologized as she left the Adams villa with
her handbag.
After a few seconds of silence, Edmund sighed and said apologetically, Sorry for
yelling at you. I was just so worried about Phillip. Don’t take it to heart.”
Lucia hadn’t expected Edmund to consider her feelings and apologize to her in
such a situation. She felt even more guilty. “HI punish them when Phillip is
found.”
“Maybe they just took him out to play. Don’t blame them,” Edmund said slowly, “I
just want to find Phillip. He’s my only hope, after all.”
Lucia grew more anxious. She got into a cab and immediately said, “I’m on my
way to your house. Let’s look for them together.”
“Thanks, Lucia…” Edmund hung up the phone with a manic grin on his face.
