The fact that August was injured shocked Zane. He widened his eyes and asked in a surprised tone, “The man just now hurt Mr. Adams?”
Lucia nodded. “How possible?” Zane couldn’t believe it. He said indignantly, “With Mr. Adams’s skills, he shouldn’t be injured in such a short time even if he couldn’t stand.” Hearing this, Lucia looked down with a sinking heart. August’s wounds meant two things.
First, he must be trying to protect her, which hindered his movements. Second, he didn’t want to hurt Jeff. Zane’s voice sounded again and brought her back to reality. “We have the murderer’s weapon.
We can call the policy” Zane squatted down and carefully took out the dagger that August kicked under the bed. It seemed that he didn’t want to destroy the fingerprints on it, he deliberately picked it up with his clothes. Lucia felt so depressed at the sight of the dagger.

so gloomy.

figure and couldn’t help frowning.

dressed women came out of the beauty salon and walked towards the elevator.

Hearing the voice dripping with sarcasm, Jeanne frowned and forced a smile.
“Yes.”
She then turned her head away impatiently, unwilling to speak a word.
Seeing her reaction, Caitlin and Vickie exchanged their eyes and both looked
displeased.
Caitlin approached her and deliberately stared at the wound on her face. “Oh,
what’s wrong with your face? Wounded? Need a bandage?”
Jeanne frowned and was impatient. She took a deep breath and said coldly. “It’s
not for a wound. It’s for acne.” Jeanne’s tone showed apparent unkindness.
Caitlin pulled a long face and snorted, “Acne? You’re too old for that.” Jeanne
had been simmering with anger that she had nowhere to vent. Hearing this, she
glared at Caitlin and asked,
“What do you mean?” Caitlin rolled her eyes at Jeanne and showed her newly manicured fingers. “I
mean nothing.”
